ITINERARY

Monday, May 12

1:00 pm: Gather at Linde Family Entrance with luggage

1:15 pm: Depart for Logan for Jet Blue (3:50 pm) or US Airways (4:00 pm)

5:30/ 6:00 pm Upon arrival in DC take shared cabs to the hotel; check in

6:30 pm Meet in lobby of hotel.  Walk (~ 1/2 mile) or take shared cabs to 

Sulgrave Club

1801 Massachusetts Avenue NW, 20036

7:00 pm Dinner at the Sulgrave Club

9:00 pm Walk or take shared cabs back to the hotel

Tuesday, May 13

9:00 am Meet in hotel lobby for bus transport to CIA Museum

9:15 am Depart hotel by bus

10:00 am One hour tour of the museum / two groups

12:00 pm Bus departure to restaurant

12:30 pm Group lunch at Bistro Vivant,1394 Chain Bridge Rd. McLean VA, 22101

2:00 pm Bus transport to the State Department, 23rd St NW between C and D Streets

3:00 pm Security check-in at the State Department

3:30 pm One hour private tour of the Diplomatic Reception Rooms

4:45 pm Walk to nearby Kennedy Center.  Light dinner, on own, in casual dining room

7:00 pm Performance

8:30 pm Walk or shared cab back to hotel


Wednesday, May 14

8:45 am Meet in hotel lobby for bus transport to Hillwood

9:00 am Depart hotel by bus

10:00 am Tour of Hillwood Estate and Gardens

Noon Bus transport to Mall area, National Gallery of Art on 4th St NW

12:45 pm FREE TIME

1:45 pm Assemble at National Gallery 

2:00 pm One hour Highlightstour/two groups

3:00 pm FREE TIME

6:15 pm Take shared cab to 

Fishers Farmers Bakers Restaurant, 3000 K St NW 

(~ 12 minute cab ride from National Gallery area.  A little more from hotel)

7:00 pm Dinner

9:00 pm Shared cabs back to hotel



Thursday, May 15

9:15 am Meet in hotel lobby for bus transport to Dumbarton Oaks. Bags packed

9:30 am Depart hotel by bus

10:00 am Ninety minute tour of Dumbarton Oaks Music Room and Gardens

Noon: Bus transport to Reagan for afternoon flights to Boston

Those staying in DC will return to the hotel by bus

NOTES:

  • NOT included are all breakfasts, and dinners on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings

  • NOT included are shared cabs as noted in the above itinerary

  • Seating at Fishers Farmers Bakers Restaurant Wednesday night will be at 4 tables.  Based on restaurant preference, payment will be by individual credit card, or, by one person at each table, who is to be reimbursed by the others at the table.

  •  Dinner at the Sulgrave Club is $80/pp, payable directly to Leslie Aitken

  • Transportation from the MFA to Logan on May 12 is $15/pp, payable directly to Teresa Silverman
