BUENOS AIRES

Just back from hiking in Patagonia. Spent 2 days in Buenos Aires on the way back and have a recommendation if you go. Hire Richard Shpuntoff as your guide for a day and it will enrich your visit beyond measure. Find him on Trip Advisor under Private Walking Tours of Buenos Aires by BA City Guide. Born in the USA, he knows the city like a native, and while he's fluent in Spanish, his unaccented English assured that our group of three missed nothing of the volumes of information he shared with us. His love for the history, art, architecture, and people of the place was evident, and he found gems in even the most ordinary places, which we never would have seen on an ordinary tour. Everything we asked for, he made happen, from a classic cafe to an artisan silversmith to a wine tasting. All in all, a deeply personal and satisfying taste of a great city. Thanks to Richard, I will return.

"Travel Tales" describe travel experiences that have been posted in narrative form. To see a list of all Travel Tales, click the "Travel Tales" link in the header.

The "Search" capability finds any word in the Travel Tales, but not on the pages or in the itineraries. It will display all Travel Tales containing that word.

"Labels" are keywords such as "Scandinavia" assigned to a Travel Tale post that help describe its content and allow it to be found on searching. Selecting a label will display all Travel Tales posted with that label.
