Tallinn

The first port of call on our Baltic cruise was Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It's a charming fortified medieval city, set on a hill, with an >onion-domed Russian Orthodox Church. We also traveled out to the suburbs >to see the Song Festival Grounds and the Olympic Stadium (bet you didn't know the yachting events of the Moscow Olympics were held here). It was interesting to see some of the Soviet constructions -- a massive, blocky city hall; huge complexes of ugly apartment houses; and >an enormous uninspired sculpture. I was approached in the Old City and >offered a Russian Passport for $10 or a gas mask for $8. Hard to pass up!
